The Smith, a highly popular casual neighborhood brasserie, boasts several locations among the top 100 busiest restaurants in the US. Its menu features bistro classics, seasonal dishes, and craft cocktails, all served in a vibrant atmosphere suitable for various occasions, from after-work gatherings to special celebrations. The Host position involves warmly greeting all guests, creating a welcoming environment, accommodating requests, guiding guests to their tables, efficiently managing the floor plan and reservations, maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the host area, answering phone inquiries about the menu and restaurant, and ensuring that every aspect of the dining experience exceeds expectations.

Responsibilities

  • Greet all Smith guests by being attentive to them as soon as they walk through the door
  • Create a welcome environment for guests, when appropriate refer to guests by their names.
  • Say yes! Always try to find ways to accommodate a request.
  • Guide guests to their tables with menus.
  • Manager the floor plan and pay special attention to reservations and ensure they are seated in a timely manner.
  • Clean, organize, and stock menus at host area.
  • Answer phone and answer questions concerning the menu and the restaurant.
  • Observer the entire dining experience ensuring that every moment at the exceeds expectations
