About The Position

Flanker Kitchen & Sporting Club is looking for Hosts to join our team. About Us A revolutionized dining, drinking and entertainment establishment across from Delta Center in Fountain Plaza at The Gateway. Owned and operated by Las Vegas-headquartered Carver Road Hospitality, the complex will feature a restaurant, three bars, 400-square-feet of LED screens, private karaoke and golf simulator rooms, a central nightclub and a cocktail lounge with bowling. Open seven days a week, the restaurant will serve American bar and grill food favorites along with more eclectic offerings and playfully crafted desserts, all freshly prepared in the full kitchen. Position Summary The Host will be responsible for welcoming, greeting and seating guests in a gracious, accommodating, and professional manner, ensuring 100% guest satisfaction. The Host is also responsible for managing reservations and providing accurate wait times for guests without reservations.

Requirements

  • Previous host/hospitality experience in a high-volume restaurant/lounge preferred.
  • Must be at least 21 years old.
  • Must be able to stand, lift and bend for extended periods of time.
  • Must be able to bend and lift to 50 lbs.
  • Role may include job duties or tasks requiring repetitive motion.
  • Must be able to work and remain focused in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule inclusive of varying shifts such as days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain professional appearance standards as directed in the Employee Handbook.
  • Anticipates and accommodates needs of the guest while providing professional and exceptional service to ensure guest satisfaction.
  • Provide guests with basic food and beverage information including special offerings and displays upselling skills
  • Able to assign seating considering service standards, staffing levels and kitchen capacity
  • Set up the host stand, review the reservation book, and maintaining general cleanliness and orderliness of the area throughout shift.
  • Assist with incoming calls and answering questions from guests and confirm reservations.
  • Seat reservations promptly at a table pre-set for the number in the party and hold chairs for guests as often as possible when seating them.
  • Protects establishment, guests, and employees by adhering to Department of Health and company sanitation standards.
  • Actively takes and processes reservations for guests, special orders, pre-payment information.
  • Perform side-work and other opening/closing procedures as directed by management.
  • Responsible for making sure all menus are organized and current, taking weekly inventory of menu paper, menu backs and desk stationary
  • Reports all breakage, damage of equipment or furniture immediately to management.
  • Attends and participates in daily pre-service meetings.
  • Updates knowledge by participating in staff training opportunities.
  • Portrays a positive and professional attitude.
