About The Position

Bar ‘Cino Brookline is looking for a Host to join the team. Bar ‘Cino (we say “chee-no”) is an informal neighborhood spot on Beacon Street in Brookline dedicated to making our guests feel welcome. We feature a casual Italian-inspired menu and a thoughtfully selected wine and cocktail list. We are the to go place for fun and great food!
In the Host role, you will coordinate seating of guests to provide fast and courteous service.

Requirements

• Must have flexible schedule to work during days, nights, weekends, and some holidays as needed
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Problem-solving skills
• Must be able to stand for long periods of time
• Ability to lift and move 25-50 pounds
• Be collaborative, using a team approach to creating an equitable workplace environment and have respectful working relationships

Nice To Haves

• Restaurant and OpenTable experience are preferred however, we are willing to train the right candidate.

Responsibilities

• Schedules dining reservations and arranges parties or special services for diners
• Greets guests, escorts them to tables, and provides menus
• Answers phone
• Communicates guests’ needs to service staff and management
