About The Position

We’re looking for a customer-focused Host to join our restaurant and bar team. This role is perfect for someone who thrives on creating a welcoming first impression, enjoys engaging with guests, and takes pride in supporting a smooth and enjoyable dining experience. The Role Greet guests warmly and provide a welcoming, positive first impression Seat guests efficiently, taking into account table rotation, guest needs, and server balance Provide menus and inform guests of current promotions or specials Manage the flow of guests into the dining and bar areas, providing accurate wait times when appropriate Communicate guest needs and requests clearly to servers, bussers, and management to ensure seamless service Operate the POS system for takeout orders or payment processing as needed Anticipate guest needs and assist in creating a smooth, enjoyable experience for every visit Complete opening, side work, and closing duties to ensure restaurant is fully prepared for service Maintain all safety, sanitation, and cleanliness standards in accordance with Health Department and restaurant guidelines Environment Fast-paced, team-oriented restaurant and bar environment Opportunities to develop hospitality and guest service skills A culture centered on respect, collaboration, and creating memorable guest experiences

Requirements

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. Applicants under 18 may be required to provide a valid school work permit
  • Must have or be able to obtain ABC Responsible Beverage Service (RBS) and California Food Handler Certification
  • Previous restaurant hosting or serving experience preferred
  • Customer-focused mindset with attention to detail
  • Ability to communicate clearly in person and over the telephone
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time
  • Friendly, approachable, and professional demeanor
  • Strong organization and multitasking abilities in a fast-paced environment
  • Clear and effective verbal communication with guests and team members
  • Ability to build rapport and create a welcoming atmosphere for every guest
