The Host is responsible for providing the highest quality of service to guests in an attentive, courteous, and efficient manner. He/she is also responsible for organizing the floor, the floor plan, distribution of sections, menus etc. Host/Hostess communicates with kitchen team at all times as well as the MOD. Additionally, the Host maintains menus, host stand and reservation system/phone. Proper etiquette is a must at all times. Employees must at all times be attentive, friendly, helpful and courteous to all guests, managers and fellow employees. Have a thorough knowledge of menus and current specials in applicable outlets. Service guests with all food and beverage requirements in an attentive, courteous, and efficient manner. Be familiar with the operation of the Open Table Ensure menus are clean. Ensure that there are updated menus for each shift. Perform opening and closing procedures and side-work duties. Ensure that the host stands is kept stocked, tidy and clean. Service guests to the standard steps of service. Escort guests to their tables and pull chairs for them. Bring the guest’s drinks using a tray when escorting them to the restaurant from the bar. Be familiar with fire extinguishers, locations and know how to use them. Ensure overall guest satisfaction. Other duties as assigned.
