Hosts are the first and last impression to the guests. We need hosts that will provide a lasting impression to win our loyal fans. Duties include: Open to close and close to open. Welcoming guest upon arrival and correctly entering guest information on waiting list or checking them in for their reservation. Seating guests at clean and set tables with clean menus. Planning reservations and keeping a proper rotation so that each server receives the right number of guests. Answering the phone, with the correct greeting, and noting reservation information and noting guests special requests. Menu knowledge is key so that answers can be given over the phone or while a guest is waiting for their table. Taking to go orders and properly entering order into POS. Communicate to serving staff and bussers when changes are made to sections and tables. Thanking the guests for visiting when they depart from the restaurant.
