SUMMARY Greets and escorts guests to tables in a friendly professional manner. Answers telephone. Works with Manager-on-Duty to cultivate maximum guest satisfaction and dining pleasure. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Welcomes guests with a pleasant and helpful attitude; recognizing and acknowledging regular and VIP guests. Seats guests ensuring guest satisfaction and a smooth working pace in the dining room. Answers telephones, records and confirms reservations, takes messages and to-go orders. In some locations, also takes room service orders. Is familiar with the menu, prices, dress code, location, phone numbers, accepted forms of payment, hours of operation and room capacity of the establishment. Performs sidework as directed, to keep the restaurant clean, orderly and well stocked. Thanks departing guests and bids them a pleasant day/evening. Works as a team player; assumes a pleasant and helpful attitude toward guests and fellow co-workers to ensure guest satisfaction.
