About The Position

As a Host at Folino Estate Winery, you are the first point of contact for our guests and serve as a key ambassador of our brand. Your role is to provide a warm, professional, and memorable welcome that reflects the elegance and hospitality Folino Estate is known for. You'll be responsible for managing reservations, coordinating guest seating, and ensuring a seamless and exceptional dining experience from the moment guests arrive until they leave.

Responsibilities

  • Create a welcoming environment for all guests by greeting them promptly and warmly upon arrival.
  • Direct guests to their tables, provide menus, and ensure comfort before transitioning to server care.
  • Offer knowledgeable and courteous responses to guest inquiries and requests.
  • Thank guests sincerely as they leave, reinforcing a positive and lasting impression.
  • Manage reservations using the TOCK system, both in advance and for walk-in guests.
  • Maintain a balanced and efficient seating chart in collaboration with the MOD and servers.
  • Communicate accurately estimated wait times and notify guests promptly when their table is ready.
  • Adjust seating arrangements as needed for call-outs, large parties, or last-minute changes.
  • Maintain open communication with Tasting Hosts and Servers to ensure smooth table turnover and guest flow.
  • Answer phone calls professionally and handle inquiries regarding reservations, availability, and services.
  • Assist with private events, group bookings, and special seating needs.
  • Keep the host stand and surrounding area clean, organized, and presentable at all times.
  • Assist in opening and closing duties per host checklists, including light cleaning and setup.
  • Rearrange tables and chairs as needed to accommodate parties or shift layouts.
  • Mentor and train new Host team members as needed.
  • Support dining room flow and staff coordination, ensuring prompt and courteous service.
  • Assist with special event logistics and guest communication when applicable.
