Requirements

• Previous experience as a host/hostess in a restaurant setting.
• Strong communication skills to interact with guests and team members.
• Ability to manage waitlists and provide accurate wait times.
• Organizational skills to keep the front area tidy.

• Familiarity with sound systems and headsets for communication.
• Ability to handle guest questions and complaints gracefully.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests with a cheerful and sincere welcome.
• Thank guests and invite them to return after their meal.
• Seat guests at tables as quickly as possible.
• Accurately record guest names on a waitlist.
• Answer the telephone promptly, ideally by the second ring.
• Maintain a tidy and attractive front of the diner.
