About The Position

As a Host Person in our upscale dining establishment, you will be the first point of contact for guests, setting the tone for an exceptional dining experience with your warm and professional greeting. You’ll ensure the outlet remains clean and organized while supporting Food Servers and Runners by facilitating guest interactions and managing table assignments. Requirements

• Demonstrates initiative and adaptability in a dynamic environment.
• Capable of sitting, standing, walking, climbing, kneeling, crouching, and balancing for extended periods.
• Familiar with health, safety, and sanitation regulations to maintain a clean and compliant work environment.
• Proficient in English, with strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Well-informed about racino daily events, amenities, and local attractions to provide accurate guest assistance.
• Possesses excellent customer service and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with guests and colleagues.
• Has two (2) years' experience working as a host in a similar fast-paced, high-volume restaurant (preferred)

Responsibilities

• Communicate special guest requests and important details to management to ensure a seamless dining experience.
• Stay informed on daily activities, restaurant occupancy, table assignments, proper setups, seating capacity, operating hours, and pricing.
• Welcome guests promptly upon arrival, providing a warm and professional first impression.
• Answer phone calls, accurately manage reservations, and maintain the reservation book.
• Ensure menus are up to date with the latest inserts, replacing any that are worn or damaged.
• Relay guest needs and feedback to the kitchen and management, assisting as necessary to ensure smooth service and a high-quality dining experience.
• Regularly check in with guests waiting to be seated, reassuring them that they have not been forgotten and updating them on table availability.
• Maintain cleanliness, organization, and sanitation of the host area, properly shutting down the podium and forwarding phones to the voice-loop at the end of the shift.
