Greets and seats guests Provides guests with service by acknowledging and welcoming guests entering the casino and restaurant areas, verifying appropriate age on identification for patrons entering the restaurant, entering guest count information into the guest seating program, paging servers, paging guests when table is available, seating guests, and responding to guest requests. Promotes guest relations by answering guest questions, providing menu information, explaining the guest seating program when applicable, providing up to date promotional contests and giveaways information, giving any needed assistance, and treating guests in a friendly and courteous manner. Maintains safe and sanitary dining areas by cleaning surfaces, picking up used plates, cups and utensils, disposing of trash, wiping down tables, and resetting tables following established procedures. Ensures work stations are stocked and clean by rolling silverware, folding napkins, setting tables, and cleaning Host/Hostess stations according to established procedures. Providing accounting transactions during shift as needed by entering cash transactions in to point-of-sale system, counting currency, logging guest discounts, vouchers, VIP points and credit cards on to cashier drop work sheet, balancing money drawer against generated cashier report following established procedures, and reporting discrepancies to the food services management team. When providing coverage in alcohol venues, ensures responsible alcohol beverage service policies are followed by asking for proper identification from guests that appear to be under the age of 30, monitoring alcohol consumption, ensuring guests do not become intoxicated following established procedures, stopping alcohol service at the designated time, and clearing the room of all alcoholic containers, glasses and bottles for each venue at the time specified.
