About the role: We’re looking for a welcoming and vibrant Host (Seasonal) to be the face of our restaurant, Talavera! As a Host, you'll help create inclusive, unforgettable dining experiences where everyone feels at home. Bring your energy, personality, and passion for people! Talavera is a contemporary Spanish steakhouse featuring Latin-inspired flavors, from paella and dry-aged steaks to jamón ibérico, fresh seafood, and vibrant tapas, complemented by over 350 world-class wines and handcrafted cocktails.

Requirements

  • One to two years’ previous experience in Food & Beverage outlet; previous employment experience within a luxury Hotels is considered an asset
  • Ability to operate computer equipment and other food & beverage computer systems
  • Strong communication skills
  • Candidates must have valid work authorization for the U.S.

Responsibilities

  • Welcome guests and provide exceptional service during their dining experience in collaboration with a team of servers
  • Manage the host stand, review the reservation book and make recommendations as to the setup of the table sections
  • Ensure cleanliness of each section of the dining rooms and make necessary improvements as well as check each table prior to opening to ensure its proper set
  • Print menus and collateral
  • Communicate to guests and team members using systems
  • Answering guests requests via multiple communication channels in regards to dining in the outlets
  • Coordinate events with marketing team
  • Develop a complete working knowledge of the menus, menu ingredients and restaurant information
