  • Uphold the Fairmont Breakers values and mission statement while performing positional responsibilities.
  • Adhere to company policy and procedures, as stated in the company handbook.
  • Consistently offer professional, friendly and engaging service.
  • Interact with arriving and departing guests.
  • Answer the phone using company standards and etiquette.
  • Take, record, and confirm with accuracy restaurant reservations in accordance with the reservation guidelines.
  • Use the Open Table system to input bookings and track Guest progress throughout the meal service periods.
  • Use clear and concise communication with the assistants, servers, bartenders and the managers regarding the needs of the guests.
  • Escort guests to the appropriate table in the dining room.
  • Act as point of contact between guests and leadership.
  • Engage and interact with guests to create a friendly, attentive, and memorable dining experience.
  • Tailor guest experience.
  • Be familiar with all menu items and aspects and services of the property.
  • Assist in cleaning, clearing and setting tables.
  • Maintain cleanliness of the restaurant.
  • Be familiar with all food outlets and amenities within the property.
  • May assist with inventory and requisition forms.
  • Be knowledgeable of general city information as well as hotel history.
  • Be an ambassador for the department, the property and the brand.
  • Maintain regular and predictable attendance.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Must have excellent communication skills and be very organized.
  • Must have legible penmanship.
  • Must have calm and warm manner.
  • Must be able to work under pressure and unsupervised.
  • Able to work flexible hours, weekends, and holidays.
  • Preferred previous customer service experience in upscale setting.
  • Previous experience as a host an asset.
  • Must pass Food, Beverage and Service Knowledge Quizzes.
  • Hourly Rate: USD $24 per hour.
