The Oyster Loft in Pismo Beach is looking for dependable, adaptable, detail oriented people to join our team. Requirements

• Previous work experience as a Host/Hostess preferred but not required
• Understanding of restaurant etiquette
• Familiarity with health and safety regulations
• Ability manage reservations
• Demonstrable customer-service skills
• Excellent communication skills (via phone and in-person)
• Strong organizational skills
• Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds
• Available to work nights, weekends and holidays
• Ability to obtain and maintain a valid CA food handlers certification

Responsibilities

• Welcome guests
• Provide accurate wait times and monitor waiting lists
• Manage reservations
• Escort customers to assigned dining or bar areas
• Provide menus and introduce server
• Greet guests upon their departure
• Coordinate with wait staff about available seating options
• Maintain a clean reception area
• Cater to guests who require extra attention
• Answer incoming calls and address guest queries
• Assist wait staff as needed
