About The Position

The Host Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations, quality, and compliance of the Host Home Program. This position provides leadership and supervision to Host Coordinators to ensure individuals served receive consistent, person-centered supports in a safe, nurturing home environment. The Host Manager ensures all program activities, including subcontractor management, meet regulatory standards, organizational policies, and person-centered planning principles.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Services, Social Work, Psychology, or a related field.
  • 3–5 years of progressive leadership experience within the Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDD) service system, including oversight of residential or community-based programs.
  • Demonstrated experience supervising and developing staff who provide direct support to individuals with IDD in 24/7 service environments.
  • Proven responsibility for operational oversight, including staffing, scheduling, documentation, service quality, and day-to-day program management.
  • Hands-on experience working within state and federal regulatory frameworks applicable to IDD services (e.g., DBHDD, Medicaid Waiver requirements); experience in Georgia strongly preferred.
  • Valid Georgia driver’s license and ability to travel between program locations.
  • Ability to respond to operational or emergency needs outside of standard business hours, as required.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure all Host Homes are compliant with state, federal, and organizational requirements.
  • Oversee the Host Subcontractor application, approval, and renewal process, ensuring all providers meet background, training, and licensing criteria before placement.
  • Maintain accurate records of subcontractor applications, approvals, and expirations.
  • Participate in the recruitment, onboarding, and ongoing monitoring of Host Home Providers and Subcontractors.
  • Review and track annual home inspections, background checks, and provider renewals.
  • Support Coordinators in addressing provider concerns, incidents, or changes in placement.
  • Oversee the implementation of individual service plans (ISP) and ensure goals and supports are followed.
  • Provide direct supervision, coaching, and support to Host Coordinators.
  • Conduct regular team meetings and 1:1 supervision to monitor performance, discuss concerns, and ensure program consistency.
  • Review and approve documentation, service notes, and reports submitted by Host Coordinators.
  • Monitor caseload assignments and workload balance among Host Coordinators.
