About The Position
Harumi Sushi, a high-volume Japanese restaurant located in Central Phoenix, is seeking a dynamic and responsible Host/Hostess to join our team. As the first point of contact for our guests, the Host/Hostess plays a crucial role in creating a welcoming atmosphere and ensuring a positive dining experience. This position requires a high level of energy, professionalism, and a commitment to excellent customer service. The Host/Hostess will be responsible for greeting customers, managing reservations, and coordinating seating arrangements. Additionally, the role may involve taking orders, operating point-of-sale devices, and assisting with food delivery and table bussing as needed. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, a friendly demeanor, and the ability to work collaboratively with team members to provide exceptional service. In this role, you will be expected to maintain a positive and professional attitude at all times, even during busy periods. You will also be responsible for developing long-term relationships with our guests by tracking their preferences and special requests. The Host/Hostess will conduct physical inventory of storage and supplies, prepare menus and beverage lists, and ensure that all transactions are accurately processed. This position is part-time, with expected hours ranging from 15 to 25 per week, and offers competitive pay that is higher than industry standards, along with supplemental tips.
