About The Position
We are seeking a Host/Hostess to join the team at Good Day Cafe, a thriving restaurant located in Vallejo, CA. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for our guests, welcoming them with a smile and leading them to their seats. Your primary responsibility will be to create a warm and inviting atmosphere for our patrons, ensuring they feel valued and appreciated from the moment they enter the restaurant. You will also be responsible for informing guests about any specials and menu items, helping them make informed choices during their dining experience. As a Host/Hostess, you will need to manage the seating arrangements efficiently, taking into account server availability and guest needs. This requires excellent communication skills and the ability to think on your feet in a fast-paced environment. You will also be responsible for accepting payments for meals and operating the cash register, which requires attention to detail and accuracy. The ideal candidate for this position is friendly, outgoing, and committed to providing an exceptional dining experience for all guests.
