About The Position

Host/Hostess + Reports to General Manager POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES + Report to work on time in a clean and complete proper uniform + Greet all customers with a smile and a verbal greeting + Promptly seat the guests by knowing seating availability and wait list; talk with guests on the way to the table + Provide menus and present specials to guests. + Stay available to guests and keep an eye out for servers who may need help + Ask guests about their meal and experience and thank them for coming in. Invite them to return. + Answer the telephone within 3 rings and ask permission to place on hold. + Help with bussing and resetting tables + Check restrooms for cleanliness every 30 minutes + Complete the position checklist while stocking and preparing the unit for the next shift. + Using all tools provided by the manager keep the work area clean at all times. + Bring all items of concern to the attention of the manager immediately, especially safety concerns and customer service complaints + Know your duties and the duties of coworkers to maximize teamwork throughout the day. + Communicate effectively with other team members. + Have a positive attitude during your shift.

Requirements

  • Basic reading, writing, and verbal communication skills required.
  • Mobility required during the entire shift
  • Work as part of a team and help in other areas if need be
