About The Position

Dockside Bar & Grill is a fast-paced waterfront restaurant known for great food, friendly service, and a fun atmosphere. Our team works together to create a welcoming experience for every guest from the moment they walk through the door.

We are looking for a friendly, organized, and energetic Host / Hostess to join our team. As the first and last point of contact for our guests, the host plays a key role in setting the tone for a great dining experience.

Requirements

• Friendly and positive attitude
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Ability to stay organized in a fast-paced environment
• Dependable and punctual
• Must be able to stand for extended periods

Nice To Haves

• Restaurant or hospitality experience is helpful but not required

Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly and welcome them to the restaurant
• Manage the wait list and seating rotation for servers
• Escort guests to tables and provide menus
• Answer phone calls and assist with basic guest inquiries
• Maintain a clean and organized host stand and entrance area
• Communicate with servers and management to ensure smooth service
• Thank guests as they leave and invite them back
