JOB DESCRIPTION Job Title: Host/Hostess Department: Food & Beverage Supervision Exercised: None Supervision Received: Restaurant Supervisor / Restaurant Manager / Food & Beverage Manager MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS Education High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Experience Previous restaurant or hospitality experience preferred. Customer service experience strongly preferred. Skills and Knowledge Excellent customer service and communication skills. Ability to multitask and remain calm in a fast-paced environment. Strong organizational and guest-flow management abilities. Professional appearance and friendly demeanor. Basic knowledge of reservation systems and POS platforms preferred. Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.

Requirements

Responsibilities

  • Greet guests warmly and create a positive first impression.
  • Manage reservations, waitlists, and seating charts to maximize service flow.
  • Escort guests to tables and communicate server sections effectively.
  • Answer phones, take messages, and provide basic restaurant information.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host stand and entrance area.
  • Assist with menus, to-go orders, and guest requests as needed.
  • Monitor dining room activity and communicate with servers and management.
  • Follow company policies, safety standards, and service procedures.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
