The Host/Hostess is responsible for effectively communicating with patients, staff, and guests of the hospital to ensure accuracy and timeliness of patient meal trays, retail guest service, and the stocking of patient nourishment units. Responsibilities also include preparation of cold food items, sanitation activities and cashiering in the hospital cafeteria. The role is responsible for following hospital policy and procedures designed to promote patient safety and reduce health care related injuries.
