About The Position

Southern Hops Brewing Company located in Murrells Inlet, SC is seeking experienced Front of House staff to add to our team! With a full kitchen that will utilize quality local ingredients, our main goal is providing our customers with a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere, and our employees with support, a great work environment, and a positive culture of teamwork. Southern Hops Brewing Co. has a decade of history in South Carolina. Owners are local South Carolinians that strive to focus on quality craft beer and local ingredients. The Host plays a very important role as they are the first impression of the business. They are responsible for welcoming customers and being attentive to their needs from the moment a customer enters the establishment. They oversee fairly assigning tables to waitstaff so that servers can split the workload. Hosts lead guests to their tables, manage reservations and communicate with front of house staff about when they have a new party in their section. Hosts help with clearing tables, wiping down menus and organizing silverware and their workspace. Hosts will answer the phone, take messages, and take to-go orders when necessary. Hosts also have the opportunity to make tips from server tip outs and to-go orders.

Requirements

Must have skills that allow them to interact positively with guests and help keep restaurant operations running smoothly.
Must be able to work under pressure when we are busy and be able to stay busy keeping the space tidy when there is down time
Must have good communication skills and phone etiquette
Ability to stand for long periods of time
Must work with all Southern Hops staff as a team
Enjoy working with the public
