About The Position

M. Peppers is an exciting neighborhood French bistro coming this spring to the Highlands. Focusing on traditional French cookery with local ingredients and a concentration on French and American wine and classic cocktails that pair harmoniously together. We are seeking a part time professional and customer-focused Host/Hostess to be the welcoming face of our elevated dining establishment. The ideal candidate is poised, polished, and able to create an unforgettable first impression for our guests. This position is for the our dinner service so applicants must be able to work evenings Friday and Saturday.

Requirements

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Professional demeanor and approach
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
Ability to stand, walk, and carry trays for extended periods.
Lifting up to 40 lbs unassisted.
Working in a busy, dynamic restaurant environment with temperature variations.
Willing to work part time hours that may fluctuate

Nice To Haves

Previous experience as a host/hostess in a fine dining or luxury setting preferred
Knowledge of reservation systems (Resy, etc.) is a plus

Responsibilities

Greet and seat guests in a timely, gracious manner
Manage reservations and accommodate walk-ins efficiently
Maintain Menus
Maintain and clean the host station and surrounding areas
Answer the phone and direct or answer as appropriate
Ensure the front of house area is well-presented
Assist with guest inquiries and offer personalized service
Coordinate with restaurant staff to manage seating flow
Assist with other duties including bussing tables, running food/drinks, polishing glassware, etc.
