About The Position

We are seeking a friendly and enthusiastic Host/Hostess to create a warm and welcoming environment for our guests at our poolside restaurant. The ideal candidate will have a passion for customer service, a keen attention to detail, and the ability to ensure a seamless dining experience for members and visitors.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a customer-facing role, preferably in a restaurant or hospitality setting.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills and a genuine passion for providing outstanding customer service.
• Strong organizational abilities, with the capacity to manage reservations and waiting lists effectively.
• Ability to remain composed under pressure and handle difficult situations with a positive attitude.
• Excellent communication skills to interact with guests, colleagues, and management.
• Familiarity with the restaurant industry and basic knowledge of food and beverages.
• Neat and professional appearance, reflecting the high standards of our country club.
• Flexibility to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Greeting guests with a friendly and welcoming demeanor as they arrive at the restaurant.
• Managing reservations and waiting lists effectively to optimize seating arrangements.
• Escorting guests to their tables and ensuring they are comfortable and well-informed about daily specials and menu offerings.
• Monitoring and maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the restaurant's entrance, waiting area, and dining sections.
• Collaborating with the service and kitchen teams to ensure a smooth flow of guests and timely service.
• Providing accurate wait time estimates to guests during peak hours and managing their expectations.
• Assisting in coordinating private events and special occasions hosted at the restaurant.
• Handling guest inquiries, concerns, and requests with professionalism and efficiency.
• Upselling menu items and promoting restaurant initiatives to enhance the guest experience.
• Participating in staff meetings and training sessions to stay informed about menu changes, policies, and procedures.
