About The Position

The Host/Hostess at the Vanderbilt Social Club, creates a welcoming first impression for club guests by greeting them, seating them at tables, and coordinating with servers, all while maintaining a tidy host stand and handling inquiries to ensure smooth guest flow and service. Must be able to maintain excellent attendance in accordance with the attendance policy.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Must be 18 or over
• Three or more months’ experience in food service industry preferred
• Ability to learn to operate corresponding system
• Excellent interpersonal skills & a friendly, positive attitude with co-workers, managers, volunteers & guests.

Nice To Haves

• Previous Hostess experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for greeting the guests upon entry
• Check guests purchased tickets and Escort guests to table
• Responsible for maintaining stock and supply levels, and communicating to the Resturant Manger of low stock items.
• Listening and responding to customer requests or concerns
• Responsible for maintaining a clean and organized work space including but not limited to disposal of garbage & cleaning dishes.
• Maintains sanitation, health and safety standards in work areas.
