About The Position

Circa 1886 is looking for a host/hostess to work evening dinner hours from approximately 4p.m.-10p.m. The ideal candidate must have flexible availability for 3-4 shifts per week including weekends and occasional holidays; be professional, friendly, and well spoken; and be committed to maintaining our standard of excellence. Circa 1886 is closed Sunday evenings, Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year's Day, Easter, Mother's Day, and Father's Day. The Charming Inns family of companies are equal opportunity employers. Requirements

• Able to provide top notch customer service in a fast-paced environment.
• A positive attitude and ability to work well under pressure with all restaurant staff.
• Able to work in a standing position for long periods of time.
• Able to safely lift and easily maneuver trays of food when necessary.
• Must have flexible availability to work 3-4 evenings per week, including weekends, from approximately 4pm - 10pm.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Nice To Haves

• Fine dining restaurant experience a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests when they enter the restaurant.
• Seat guests at tables or in waiting areas.
• Provide guests with menus and answer any initial questions.
• Answer phone calls, take reservations and respond to customer inquiries about the restaurant and menu
• Engage with guests to ensure they are happy with food and service.
• Help with other positions in the restaurant as needed.
• Provide exceptional customer service
