About The Position

Midtown is looking for a Host/Hostess to join our team and provide excellent service to our members and guests. The Position As an important part of the Food & Beverage team, our Hosts/Hostesses are friendly and attentive professionals who strive to delight our members and guests by: Greeting and Seating: Greeting all members and guests with a smile and positive attitude Managing reservations and walk-ins efficiently Escorting guests to their tables, ensuring they are comfortable and satisfied with their seating arrangements Service and Community Building: Consistently demonstrating a professional, resilient, and optimistic attitude Inspiring a sense of community and providing personal attention to all members and guests Attending to the food and beverage needs of our members and guests, ensuring timely service Maintaining Standards: Maintaining clean and sanitary café areas to promote a safe and enjoyable member experience Ensuring all dining and lounge areas are tidy and well-organized Teamwork and Efficiency: Committing to department responsibilities and working effectively within a team environment Assisting servers and other staff as needed to provide seamless service Operational Duties: Occasionally processing payments at registers and balancing the cash drawer Managing phone calls and assisting with inquiries regarding reservations, menu options, and general information

Requirements

  • Previous experience in the hospitality industry
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays

Nice To Haves

  • Current ServSafe certification preferred
