About The Position

The position involves creating an atmosphere that encourages guests to choose Hard Rock Casino Hotel & Casino Bristol for their gaming entertainment. The role is responsible for building and retaining guest relations and mentoring team members to provide superior guest service. The individual will welcome guests, escort them to their tables, inspect dining areas, and ensure compliance with safety rules and regulations. Additional responsibilities include managing comps and reservation sheets, running required reports, presenting checks, serving guests efficiently, completing side duties, maintaining cleanliness, and following cash handling policies.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or G.E.D. equivalency preferred.
  • Strong mathematical skills.
  • Ability to read and write English required.
  • Two years of guest service experience in a family or formal dining environment.
  • Casino Food & Beverage experience preferred.
  • Must obtain and maintain valid licenses/certifications per Federal, State, and Gaming/Lottery regulations.
  • Valid driver's license required for drivers of company vehicles.
  • Must successfully pass background check.
  • Must successfully pass drug screening.
  • Friendly and outgoing personality.
  • Ability to work independently and willingness to learn.
  • Ability to work at a rapid pace while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Ability to handle stress from management of operations and volume of work.
  • Must be eighteen (18) years of age or older.

Responsibilities

  • Create an atmosphere that induces guests to choose Hard Rock Casino Hotel & Casino Bristol for gaming entertainment.
  • Build and retain guest relations and mentor team members for superior guest service.
  • Welcome every guest to improve satisfaction and promote positive relations.
  • Escort guests to their tables/booths courteously.
  • Inspect dining area and set tables/booths as necessary.
  • Practice and observe safety rules and regulations in dining areas.
  • Manage all comps and reservation sheets.
  • Run required reports for the server, cashier, and credit card machine.
  • Present checks and collect payments for necessary items.
  • Serve efficiently between 25-35 guests per half-hour.
  • Complete all opening and closing side duties.
  • Stock areas with necessary items during and at the end of the shift.
  • Maintain cleanliness of all dining areas.
  • Accurately ring all financial transactions.
  • Follow policies and procedures regarding alcohol.
  • Abide by all cash handling policies and procedures.
  • Pick up and return bank and revenue to/from cage or cash room.
  • Verify all banks received and returned from cage or cash room.
  • Take reservations when necessary.
  • Be knowledgeable of events.
  • Perform other departmental related duties as directed by management.
