At Montage International, we are seeking a passionate Host/Hostess to join our team. This position is crucial in creating a welcoming atmosphere for our guests, ensuring they feel valued and appreciated from the moment they arrive until their departure. The Host/Hostess will greet guests with a warm smile, assist them in seating arrangements, and maintain a positive and professional demeanor throughout their visit. This role requires a proactive approach to anticipating guests' needs and responding with urgency to any inquiries or issues that may arise. The Host/Hostess will also bid farewell to guests, using their names when known, and encourage them to return, fostering a sense of loyalty and connection to our establishment. The Host/Hostess will be responsible for consistently following the Food & Beverage sequence of service, adhering to the procedures established by venue managers and chefs. This includes providing analytical support to the leadership team to help achieve desired business results. Effective communication with management, chefs, and service staff is essential to address any guest needs or requests promptly. The Host/Hostess will manage the flow of guests entering the restaurant, bar, and lounge, especially during peak times, ensuring a smooth and enjoyable experience for all. In addition to greeting and seating guests, the Host/Hostess will handle telephone inquiries, direct calls as necessary, and oversee daily restaurant reservations. This includes pre-assigning seating and communicating special requests or needs from guests, including VIPs. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment, demonstrating strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask effectively while maintaining a positive attitude.
