About The Position

We are currently seeling an experienced, service-oriented Host(ess)/Bartener to support our Independent Living community, serving beer and wine in a warm, welcoming environment for our residents and their guests.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Previous experience (minimum 2 years) as a bartender host/hostess, preferably in a restaurant, hotel or hospitality setting.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills with the ability to build rapport with older adults.
• Professional appearance and positive attitude.
• Proficiency using OpenTable (or similar reservation system).
• Experience with POS system.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Must meet local age and licensing requirements for serving alcohol.
• Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Welcome and engage residents and guests in a friendly and professional manner.
• Provide exceptional hospitality and foster a friendly and inclusive atmosphere.
• Serve beer and win in accorance with community standards and applicable laws.
• Host and manage the flow of the dining/bar area, including seating and waitlist management.
• Use OpenTable for reservations and table management.
• Operate a Point of Sales (POS) system to process orders, payments and maintain accurate tabs.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, glassware, equipment, etc.
• Ensure responsible alcohol service and compliance with all safety and sanitation regulations.
• Collaborate with dining and culinary teams to support events, happy hours and special functions.
• Model Kisco’s Principles, Values, and Beliefs (PVBs) in all interactions with residents, families, and team members.
