About The Position

The Host at Ditka's Grill Wheaton is responsible for providing a warm and welcoming experience for guests as they enter and exit the restaurant. This part-time role involves managing guest flow, addressing special needs, and ensuring a positive dining experience through effective communication and service. The Host plays a crucial role in maintaining the restaurant's image and cleanliness while supporting the overall operations of the front of house team.

Requirements

• Minimum 6 months experience working in a hospitality, retail, or customer service role.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 15 pounds.
• Ability to stand and exert well-paced mobility for up to 4 hours at a time.
• Must meet any federal, state, county or municipal regulations pertaining to the service of food and beverages.

Responsibilities

• Cheerfully greets and seats all guests in a friendly manner.
• Manages guests' expectations during wait times.
• Handles incoming calls courteously and efficiently.
• Acknowledges guests as they leave and invites them to return.
• Performs additional functions such as rolling silverware, running food, and bussing tables as time permits.
• Attempts to resolve guest complaints and reports any issues to management immediately.
• Maintains cleanliness and organization of greeter areas and reports deficiencies to management.
• Completes assigned weekly cleaning projects.
• Maintains a professional restaurant image, including cleanliness and proper uniforms.
