The Restaurant Host / Cashier will meet and greet customers at the door and assign seating to assure maximum guest satisfaction; thank guests as they exit. Assist in cleaning and resetting of tables and help servers as needed. Answer telephone in a pleasant and professional manner; responsible for cash register monies. Workes In this role you will: Greet guests in prompt courteous manner and assign seating on a rotating basis, seeing that all service personnel receive an equal number of covers. Distribute menus and give a brief description of specials. Continuously monitor each table to assure that they receive quick service. Monitor all tables for proper settings. Inspect sections for cleanliness when closing a section, clean and reset tables as needed. Ensure the dining room is clean and presentable at all times. Answer telephone in a polite and professional manner. Receive, return and manage cashier’s change fund. Keep cashier/hostess station net and organized. Accept guest payments, process credit card charges and make change. Ensure menus are current, clean and in good condition. Perform related and/or other duties as required.
