About The Position

As a Host/Cashier, you will provide friendly and attentive service while assisting guests with food and beverage orders, handling payments, and maintaining cleanliness in the dining area. Your role includes ensuring buffet stations are stocked, answering guest inquiries, and upholding quality and service standards to create a welcoming dining experience.

Requirements

  • Due to the cyclical nature of the hospitality business, team members may be required to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the resort, including weekends and holidays

Responsibilities

  • Approach all encounters with guests and employees in an attentive friendly courteous and service-oriented manner
  • Comply at all times with Marriott standards and local regulations to encourage safe and efficient hotel operations
  • Maintain a working knowledge of the menu at all times to ensure guest satisfaction and quality control
  • Service guests with all food and beverage requirements in a warm friendly courteous and professional manner
  • Clear, clean and reset dining area tables as needed, ensure trash is emptied and displays are stocked
  • Preparing buffet station for food set up. Ensuring buffet is stocked with silverware plates and glassware
  • Accommodate any special requests made by a guest or offer appropriate alternatives
  • Be proficient and familiar with the daily operation of the Micros P.O.S. system
  • Ensure quality control of merchandise displays, Bistro menus, etc. regarding cleanliness and appearance
  • Ability to answer the telephone according to standards
  • Have a thorough knowledge of food items on menus and current specials in all applicable departments
  • Carry out cashiering functions in closing guest checks and end of shift paperwork, cash counts, credit card charges, room charges
  • Perform opening and closing procedures and side work duties according to station rotation assignment
  • Ensure that tables and side stands are kept stocked tidy and clean
  • Attend daily meetings as required by management, perform any other duties as requested by management
  • Other duties as assigned
