To greet guests upon entrance to outlet, direct guests to appropriate seating and ensure guest satisfaction. This role involves providing a prompt, gracious greeting, seating guests comfortably with menus, taking reservations by phone and in person, and ensuring tables are clean and set. The Host/Cashier is also responsible for maintaining seating charts, tidying the service podium, and managing supply inventory. Duties include serving guests with beverages, breads, and butter, replenishing as necessary, and transporting dirty tableware to the dishwashing area for proper cleaning. General cleaning tasks, folding napkins, and stocking service stations are also part of the role. The position requires assisting servers in the delivery of orders and pre-busing tables, as well as performing other duties like cleaning spills or special guest requests to ensure total satisfaction. Adherence to all company policies and procedures, including safety and security rules, is mandatory. This includes knowing department fire prevention and emergency procedures, utilizing protective equipment, and reporting unsafe conditions, accidents, injuries, near-misses, property damage, or loss to a supervisor/manager. All team members must maintain a neat, clean, and well-groomed appearance.
