About The Position
The Host/Cashier at Belterra Casino Resort plays a crucial role in delivering exceptional service to both internal and external customers. This position is primarily responsible for greeting guests, arranging prompt seating, and performing all sales transactions. The Host/Cashier ensures that guests feel welcome and comfortable, adhering to the customer service standards set by Belterra Casino Resort. This role requires a proactive approach to building and maintaining customer relations, acting as a mentor to fellow employees while consistently providing superior customer service. The individual must possess the resilience to handle difficult customers in various business conditions and work harmoniously with coworkers. In addition to greeting guests in a friendly and courteous manner, the Host/Cashier is tasked with monitoring the room atmosphere and providing information about all aspects of Boyd Gaming's services and facilities. This includes quoting accurate waiting times and managing guest waiting lists or reservations according to established procedures. The Host/Cashier is also responsible for the pickup, countdown, and return of the cash bank from miscellaneous counts, ensuring all financial transactions are handled accurately. Opening the register and preparing all necessary paperwork for the assigned outlet in an organized manner is also a key responsibility. Overall, the Host/Cashier serves as the first point of contact for guests, ensuring a positive experience from the moment they arrive.
