About The Position

Cape Cod Café is looking for friendly, reliable team members to join our front-of-house staff as a Host / Busser. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys a fast-paced environment, takes pride in great guest service, and works well as part of a team.
Position Overview
As a Host / Busser, you play a key role in creating a welcoming experience for our guests while supporting the dining room and service team. This position combines guest interaction with hands-on support to keep the restaurant running smoothly.

Requirements

• Entry level however previous work-related skill, knowledge, or experience in Guest service or Restaurant environment preferred
• Must be available Wednesdays and Thursdays from 4-9pm
• TIPS certification preferred
• Friendly, positive attitude with strong customer service skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Reliable and punctual
• Team-oriented with a willingness to help where needed

Nice To Haves

• Restaurant experience is a plus, but not required—we’re happy to train the right candidate

Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly and manage the wait list
• Seat guests efficiently while balancing server sections
• Answer phones and assist with takeout orders as needed
• Maintain a clean and organized host stand
• Clear and reset tables quickly and efficiently
• Assist servers by restocking supplies and beverages
• Maintain cleanliness of the dining room and service areas
• Support overall front-of-house operations during peak times
