About The Position

Sets up kitchen area for distribution of hot food to dining room. Assists in maintaining kitchen cleanliness. Works in close cooperation with the cooks and Chef.

Requirements

  • Must be neat, cooperative, cheerful, organized and must be able to perform tasks rapidly.
  • Knowledge of identification of foods on menu is required.
  • Must be able to rapidly pick up food and transport to dining room.
  • Previous experience not required.

Responsibilities

  • Sets up station with appropriate items, i.e., serviettes, floor plan, reservation sheet, ramekins, etc.
  • Prepares bread/rolls for service. Preps butter for bread service.
  • Assists in stocking service station.
  • Menu knowledge required including ingredients, preparation, plating and garnishment.
  • Understands the floorplan, table numbers, position numbers for effective food service.
  • Runs food to correct table efficiently and in accordance with our standard operating procedures.
  • Assists waitstaff as needed.
  • Polishes silverware and glassware during slow times.
  • Helps prepare China, glassware, and silverware for resetting the room.
  • Assists in clearing plates when needed or directed by servers.
  • Helps keep the employee dining room orderly.
  • Other duties as assigned.
