About The Position

ABOUT US Located in NoPa, Early to Rise is one of San Francisco's most loved brunch destinations, featuring an old-school menu, but with all of our major staples made in the house. We are proud to make all of our own breakfast meats (bacon, ham, sausage, etc.), breads (bagels, English muffins and so on) as well as butter, hot sauce, jam ... you name it. Requirements

THIS IS NOT AN ENTRY LEVEL POSITION
Must have at least 3 years of experience in fast-paced restaurants and high-volume environments
Barista experience needed
Strong communication skills, including calling and texting guests regarding reservations
Provide professional references.
Familiarity with the Toast POS system
Excellent interpersonal skills and a passion for outstanding customer service
Ability to work well under pressure in a busy restaurant environment
A genuine desire to help others and provide excellent service

Responsibilities

Welcome guests as they arrive, creating a friendly and inviting atmosphere
Escort guests to their tables and ensure they are comfortable and well-informed about any specials or promotions
Manage the waitlist during peak hours, accurately estimating wait times and effectively communicating with guests.
Manage the flow of guests in the dining room or waiting area, ensuring efficient seating and service
Answer incoming phone calls and assist guests with inquiries or reservations.
Use the POS system to manage reservations and guest check-ins
Assist guests ordering food for takeout and drinks while they wait for their tables.
Assist guests with inquiries and provide information about services, menus, and facilities
Collaborate with the serving staff to maintain an organized seating chart and ensure efficient table turnover.
Monitor the dining area to ensure cleanliness and compliance with health and safety regulations.
Assist with opening and closing duties, including setting up the host stand, arranging menus, and tidying up the entryway.
Address guest concerns or requests promptly and professionally
Enforce house rules with kindness and professionalism
Maintain cleanliness and organization in the greeting area
