About The Position

Our dynamic retirement livings team at Carlyle Gardens Retirement Village in Townsville is looking for committed and passionate Hospitality Officer to join their dedicated and close-knit team on a permanent part time basis. Blue Care operate over 35 retirement villages across Queensland, with more than 3,300 residents choosing to make a Blue Care communities their home. Reporting to the Village Manager, you will be driven, organised and take pride in your presentation and providing support to residents with the following task: Undertake catering and/ or housekeeping services in accordance with designated role or roster. Foster a professional working relationship with the village residents and team members and ensure exceptional customer service. Ensure all equipment is used and stored according to manufacturer’s instructions and organisational guidelines. Report any defects in equipment or other hazards. Report any resident feedback and complaints and participate in resolution and quality improvement practices. Ensure a safe environment for self, residents and all other persons in the village by taking a proactive approach to health and safety, by identifying risks and actioning remedies. Requirements

  • Prior hospitality experience in kitchen or cleaning
  • Enthusiasm and strong self-motivation
  • Great communication skills and excellent attention to detail
  • Confidence to satisfy the relevant probity checks required by legislation or policies.
