About The Position

The Turnberry corporate summer internship program offers undergraduate and graduate students the opportunity to gain real-world professional experience with a well-established South Florida company. The program is intended to develop the business leaders of tomorrow. Interns will gain exposure to senior leadership, work on meaningful projects, participate in learning and development opportunities and join in networking and social events with other Team Members and fellow interns. As a Hospitality Intern, you will work at the Seagate Hotel in Delray Beach, Florida. This role is designed to provide hands‑on exposure across key hotel and resort departments, offering a comprehensive understanding of hospitality operations, guest experience, and commercial strategy. The intern will rotate through multiple functional areas, gaining practical experience while supporting day‑to‑day operations and special projects. This opportunity is ideal for students pursuing a degree in Hospitality Management, Business, or a related field who are interested in building a well‑rounded foundation in the hospitality industry.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in a Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or related degree program (or recent graduate).
  • Strong interest in hotel management and operations.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); familiarity with hotel management software is a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail and a passion for delivering outstanding guest service.
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with different teams.

Responsibilities

  • Support onboarding and orientation activities
  • Assist with employee engagement initiatives
  • Gain exposure to recruiting, training, and HR operations
  • Assist with guest check‑in and check‑out processes
  • Support guest service standards and service recovery efforts
  • Learn front‑of‑house operations and guest experience best practices
  • Observe housekeeping operations and quality standards
  • Support coordination between housekeeping and facilities teams
  • Gain insight into room readiness, inspections, and asset care
  • Assist with basic accounting tasks and reporting
  • Learn hotel financial operations, budgeting, and cost controls
  • Gain exposure to payroll, invoicing, and financial compliance
  • Support sales initiatives and marketing campaigns
  • Assist with social media, promotions, and collateral development
  • Gain exposure to group sales, events, and brand positioning
  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of reservations operations, which includes inventory management, booking processes, PMS understanding and functionality, and guest accommodations.
  • Support the revenue team by assisting in the oversight of room availability, rate management, and occupancy optimization.
  • Ensure accuracy and efficiency across reservations systems through data management, reporting, forecasting, and process improvement.
  • Analyze occupancy trends, booking pace, and demand patterns to support strategic decision-making.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance guest experience and drive operational excellence.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance workflow efficiency.
