About The Position

FLIK Hospitality Group is hiring immediately for a Hospitality & Events Manager in Training position in New York, NY. This role involves targeted training for an entry-level management position, focusing on best practices in marketing, customer service, retail, merchandising, purchasing, supply chain, hiring, training, payroll, and profit and loss. The training includes hands-on experience at a designated location and participation in Compass Group's Accelerated Manager Program (AMP). Successful completion of AMP may require relocation within your region for placement opportunities. Full-time management placement or promotion upon AMP completion depends on performance and business needs. As an AMP graduate, you may be prepared for roles such as Guest Experience Ambassador, Lead Community Manager, or Hospitality Specialist.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree required by August 2026 or earlier.
  • Required experience in customer service or hospitality at hotels or similar 5-star establishments.
  • A genuine sense of hospitality with a commitment to delivering a memorable experience.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize, multitask, and meet deadlines.
  • Basic understanding of contract administration and client relations.
  • Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and internet applications.
  • Open to relocation for the right role or advancement opportunity.
  • Driver's License preferred but may be required for certain roles.

Responsibilities

  • Receive targeted training for an entry-level management role.
  • Learn and apply best practices in marketing, customer service, retail, merchandising, purchasing, supply chain, hiring, training, payroll, and profit and loss.
  • Participate in Compass Group's Accelerated Manager Program (AMP).
  • Gain hands-on experience at a designated location.
