About The Position

Flik Hospitality Group is hiring immediately for a Hospitality & Events Intern position located at 800 Florida Ave NE, Washington, D.C. 20002. This is a paid internship program that provides hospitality students with the opportunity to work in a dynamic and inspirational hospitality culture. Interns will work closely with hospitality mentors and gain insight into the operations of a leading food service and hospitality organization. The Summer Intern will support the conference and reception services team with all meetings and events, ensuring a warm, welcoming, and professional atmosphere for clients, executives, and staff members. The internship offers hands-on training and professional development opportunities, including meetings with FLIK leadership, networking opportunities, and optional learning courses.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in a college or professional hospitality program and/or have 1 year of industry experience.
• Meet university's GPA requirement for Internship.
• Successful completion of relevant Intro to Hospitality coursework.
• Available to work 20 - 40 hours a week based on business needs and internship requirements.

• College credit is not required, but documentation can be provided if necessary.

Responsibilities

• Support the conference and reception services team with all meetings and events.
• Establish a warm, welcoming, and professional atmosphere for clients, executives, and staff members.
• Assist with ad-hoc projects between Conference Services and Reception Services.
