About The Position

This is a Full-time 8AM-4:00PM position at our Truman House. We provide superior care and superior care services to patients at their end-of-life journey. Only those who have a heart for hospice will succeed.

Requirements

• General education degree (GED) or High school diploma preferred
• Computer skills sufficient to properly communicate and document.
• At least one-year related experience and or training.

Responsibilities

• Ensures all assigned areas are kept clean and sanitary for the superior care of patients, families and staff.
• Follows established schedules and assignments that include dusting, vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, carpet cleaning or any other assigned activities to ensure patients, families and staff receives hospitality services.
• Cleans each patient’s room daily to ensure the patients room is always in a safe, clean and sanitary condition.
• Cleans, disinfects, sanitizes and maintains sanitary conditions in all assigned work areas including storage of chemicals and equipment.
• Monitors and maintains inventory of supplies for designated work areas.
• Handles and disposes of waste using standard procedures.
• Listens and responds to patient’s queries and requests, seeks assistance appropriately.
• Observes and reports any maintenance issues.
• Assists in other activities and departments when requested.
• Float to other buildings/affiliates as needed.
• Participates in Continuous Quality Improvement activities to support the quality of Ohio’s Hospice services.
• Precepts new staff to support professional relationships with newly hired team members as required.
