About The Position

The Hospitality Aide at Lake Taylor Transitional Care Hospital plays a vital role in supporting the nursing staff and enhancing the quality of life for residents. This position involves various tasks such as assisting with daily activities, providing companionship, and ensuring the comfort and dignity of patients. The aide works under the direct supervision of the Unit Manager and is responsible for a range of duties that contribute to the overall care of residents.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED equivalency preferred.
• At least one year of successful work experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Making beds and maintaining cleanliness in resident areas.
• Transporting residents to activities and escorting them to outside medical appointments.
• Facilitating on-unit activities such as puzzles, reading, and writing letters.
• Assisting in feeding residents and serving snacks and beverages.
• Filling water pitchers and cleaning residents' glasses.
• Answering telephones in the absence of the unit secretary.
• Reporting any observed problems or changes in patients' conditions to the charge nurse.
• Communicating effectively with patients, residents, and their family members.
• Respecting the privacy, confidentiality, and dignity of residents at all times.
• Participating in inservice education programs and attending required meetings.

Benefits

• Full-time position with a pay rate of $15.00 per hour.
• Day shift schedule from 10am to 6pm.
