About The Position

The Hospitality Aide supports the Nursing Department by performing a variety of non-clinical, resident-support and unit-support functions. This role is essential in maintaining a clean, safe, welcoming environment for residents, visitors, and staff while assisting nurses and CNAs with daily operational needs.

Requirements

  • Minimum 8th grade education required
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Basic computer skills (Microsoft Suite preferred)
  • Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 25 lbs
  • Frequent standing, walking, bending, and reaching
  • Ability to use standard office equipment

Nice To Haves

  • Prior healthcare or hospitality experience preferred, but not required

Responsibilities

  • Answer call lights promptly and report resident needs to CNA or Nurse
  • Make routine rounds to assist residents with comfort needs (call light access, blankets, blinds, etc.)
  • Transport residents to meals, activities, appointments, and common areas
  • Greet residents upon admission and assist with room readiness and orientation
  • Assist residents with non-feeding meal support (tray delivery, opening containers, cutting food, refilling beverages)
  • NEVER feed residents
  • Maintain clean, orderly resident rooms and common areas
  • Make unoccupied beds and distribute linens
  • Clean feeder tables, wheelchairs, over-bed tables, and resident equipment
  • Restock resident rooms, common areas, and supply rooms
  • Replace trash liners and report spills or hazards immediately
  • Answer phones, especially during meal times
  • Assist with filing, copying, labeling resident belongings, and other clerical tasks at the nursing station
  • Assist with errands for residents and staff
  • Maintain confidentiality of resident information at all times
  • Report changes in resident condition immediately to Charge Nurse
  • Report accidents, incidents, safety concerns, and defective equipment promptly
  • Follow infection control, OSHA, CDC, and facility safety guidelines
  • Participate in orientation, in-service training, and annual mandatory education
  • Treat all residents with dignity, respect, and kindness
