About The Position

The Hospitality Aide plays a crucial role in providing non-clinical support to residents in a healthcare or assisted living facility. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.

  • Ability to follow instructions and assist with non-clinical care tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Assist residents with non-medical tasks such as making beds, delivering meals, and tidying rooms.
  • Provide companionship to residents through conversation and engagement in recreational activities.
  • Help residents with dressing, grooming, and hygiene-related tasks as needed, under the supervision of nursing staff.
  • Escort residents to meals, activities, and appointments within the facility.
  • Assist with serving meals to residents and help with setting up meal trays.
  • Provide support to residents during meals, ensuring they are comfortable and have everything they need.
  • Monitor residents' food and fluid intake and report any concerns to nursing staff.
  • Maintain the cleanliness and orderliness of resident rooms and common areas, including changing linens and emptying trash.
  • Assist with light housekeeping duties, ensuring that residents' living areas are clean, safe, and pleasant.
  • Stock supplies in resident rooms, common areas, and nursing stations as needed.
  • Respond promptly and kindly to resident calls for assistance, ensuring their comfort and safety.
  • Provide emotional support and companionship to residents, particularly those who are lonely or have limited mobility.
  • Maintain a positive and welcoming environment by interacting with residents and their families in a respectful and compassionate manner.
  • Work closely with nursing staff, therapists, and other departments to ensure that residents receive the highest quality of care.
  • Report any changes in residents' conditions or concerns to the nursing team immediately.
  • Participate in resident care conferences and team meetings as requested.
