About The Position

The Hospitality Aide at Sunrise Post Acute plays a crucial role in supporting the nursing staff and enhancing the quality of life for residents. This position involves assisting with daily activities, maintaining cleanliness in resident areas, and ensuring that residents' needs are met promptly and compassionately.

Requirements

  • Ability to communicate effectively with residents and staff.
  • Compassionate and patient demeanor when interacting with residents.
  • Basic understanding of medical terminology and procedures.
  • Ability to follow instructions and established protocols.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in a healthcare or hospitality setting.
  • Certification in CPR or First Aid.

Responsibilities

  • Report all accidents/incidents to the charge nurse.
  • Notify the Nurse Supervisor/Charge Nurse of any changes in the resident's condition.
  • Answer phone calls, especially during mealtimes.
  • Assist with errands for residents and staff.
  • Perform secretarial tasks at the nursing station as requested.
  • Maintain orderly and clean resident rooms and common areas.
  • Ensure residents who cannot call for help are checked frequently.
  • Answer call bells promptly and report needs to CNA/Nurse.
  • Assist residents with daily activities such as opening/closing blinds and straightening blankets.
  • Transport residents to and from meals and activities.
  • Provide reality orientations to residents as instructed.
  • Clean and maintain feeding areas and equipment.
  • Pass snacks and trays to residents, ensuring proper identification and assistance with food arrangements.
  • Keep residents' water pitchers clean and filled with fresh water.
  • Prepare resident rooms for new admissions and greet residents upon arrival.
