About The Position

Reading Hospital is recruiting a Hospitalist to join our growing Hospitalist Services team! The position is responsible for coordinating all aspects of care for the inpatient Adult Medicine Service. The role offers flexible schedule options, requiring the candidate to work 15 ten-hour shifts per month, which includes some nights and weekends. The ICU is closed with 24/7 Intensivist coverage, and there are no procedures involved. The average patient load is 15, and teaching residents is optional. The position utilizes EPIC EMR and is supported by more than 75 employed Physicians and over 20 Advanced Practice Providers.

Requirements

• MD/DO, Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine
• Valid PA Medical License or ability to obtain one
• Experience practicing medicine in a hospital setting
• Highly computer literate and familiar with charting
• Excellent communication skills, especially in sensitive situations
• Sound judgment and expert decision-making abilities
• Analytical thinker and complex problem-solver
