About The Position

The Physician Assistant will join the Hospitalist team at Tufts Medical Center, providing comprehensive care to patients in a collaborative environment. This full-time position involves working 36 hours per week, with a balanced schedule of day and night shifts. The role focuses on transforming patient care through direct patient interaction, documentation, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited and/or approved Physician Assistant program
• Current license as a Physician Assistant in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts
• Current certification in CPR required
• Prior PA experience preferred, new graduates with an interest in hospital medicine considered

Responsibilities

• Round on patients with supervising physician including reviewing objective data, creating and presenting assessment & plan
• Order labs, medications, imaging, procedures for patients
• Documentation including daily progress note, discharge summary, discharge instructions
• Work with multidisciplinary teams including nursing, specialists, OT, PT, SLP to optimize patient care
• Manage a broad range of both acute and chronic diseases
• Perform procedures including NGT placement and arterial blood gas
