About The Position
HOSPITALIST - PER DIEM Mercy Hospital, part of the Catholic Health system, is a community hospital located in Rockville Centre, NY. We are a 375-bed, not-for-profit hospital serving the healthcare needs of Nassau County and its surrounding area. Mercy is consistently recognized by U.S. News & World Report as high-performing for COPD and kidney failure. Requirements
- Licensed to practice medicine in New York State
- Board Certified or Board eligible within 3 years and predominantly trained in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine
- New resident graduates are welcomed
- BLS and ACLS certified by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross. No online courses are accepted
Responsibilities
- Communicate and work collaboratively with the clinical team to ensure maximum delivery of quality care to all patients
- Providing counsel to patients on their health concerns
- Documenting care delivered in the hospital's medical record system
- Conforming to hospital-stipulated policies and procedures, Corporate Compliance, and HIPAA programs
- Participate in medical staff educational programs
- Be an active supporter of new programs
